First Metro Bank COVID-19 Update

First Metro Bank is dedicated to the service, support, and safety of our customers.  During the current times of uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), our priority is and will continue to be the health of our customers and employees.  We understand the importance of your financial needs in a time such as this and that is why we are prepared and committed to serving you.  As our nation is encouraged to take precautions and practice “social distancing,” First Metro Bank is operating by drive-thru and ATM only beginning Monday, March 23.  We are equipped to handle most all your banking needs online, by phone, in our drive-thru lanes, or through our new service, First Metro Live, at our ATMs.  First Metro Bank offers an array of options that limits or eliminates in-person contact, but still allows you to take care of your banking business.  Listed below are the products and services available to you.

First Metro Live 

First Metro Live is a unique service offered by First Metro Bank that completely eliminates in-person contact, but still allows you to speak to a live teller that can assist you in cashing checks, making deposits, withdrawals, loan and credit card payments, account transfers, and more!  Simply touch the screen at one of our Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) to be connected to a live teller via video conferencing.  First Metro Live is available at all First Metro Bank locations from 7:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday and 7:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.  

Being the only bank in Northwest Alabama that offers this service, First Metro Bank offers a protection that no other bank can provide during this time of need.  First Metro Bank is sanitizing our ATMs multiple times a day in an effort to further protect our customers.  

Online/Mobile Banking

Do your banking from home?  Yes, please!  First Metro Bank offers online and mobile banking platforms that allows you to check account balances, search transaction history, transfer money, make loan payments, set-up Bill Pay, and utilize People Pay (a person-to-person payment method). 

To sign up for online banking, go to firstmetro.com and click “Enroll Now” in the top right-hand corner.  Once you have completed the enrollment process, a member of the First Metro Bank Online Banking Department will call to verify and activate your account. 

Once you have activated your online banking account, you can download the First Metro Bank App in the app store on your mobile device.  Your mobile app credentials will be the same as your online banking credentials.

People Pay

If you love Venmo, then you’ll love People Pay!  First Metro Bank’s digital product, People Pay, is a person-to-person payment option within the First Metro Bank Online and Mobile Banking platforms.  Send money to the recipient via email, mobile number, or Pay Pal.  This option is a fast and efficient alternative to handling cash. 

Apple Pay, Google Pay, & Samsung Pay

First Metro Bank offers Apple, Google, & Samsung Pay!  These contactless forms of payment are great when trying to decrease the handling of cash, debit, and credit cards in stores.  Use these contactless methods of payment anywhere that accepts Apple, Google, or Samsung Pay!
